Cannot convert bank statements from PDF to CSV

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I specifically bought PDFelement to convert a heap of bank statements to CSV for my accountant. despite following many tutorials and troubleshooting I can't seem to accomplish this task with PDFelement. Does anyone know how I can achieve this?

Thanks in advance,

Joseph :)

Hey Joseph,

What have you been doing so far to convert the files? And what has been the outcome?

Another thought: Are your bank statements scanned/in PDF format? If yes, you can extract the data from them and it'll go into an CSV file:

1) Form -> Data Extraction

2) Select "Extract Data from marked PDF"

3) Mark up the sections that you want to extract data from.

4) Click "Save Setting" and name the template and save it for future use.

5) Click "Yes" when you are done marking it up and a pop-up will appear.

6) This is the pop-up that appears. You may add additional files for a batch extraction. The finished CSV file will have each file on a separate row.

Hi Rebecca,

I have tried doing what you suggested and it still does not process and export the data in a way that is helpful to me.

I'm sure the program is very useful in many ways but I have resigned to the fact that PDFelement is not for me and what I want to achieve with it.

I have put in a refund request and have not got any response for it as of yet. Could you please check on this for me if you have the capability to do so.

Thanks,

Joseph

Hi Joseph,

No worries! I'm sorry it didn't work out for you.

All refund requests need to go through our customer support centre. I've attached a thread with additional information and a link to submit a ticket. Hope this helps 🙂

Best,

Rebecca
