Data Extract: memory is corrupt

Recommended Posts

I just started using the software to process scans of hard copy tickets.  I receive the ticket as a jpeg, I OCR it to a pdf, then try to form data extract using marked pdf fields.  It's a 1 page pdf that shows 4.28MB in size on the batch process screen.  I have been unable to get a successful extract.  It only produces a blank csv. Can someone help me resolve this?  Thanks

Here is the extract log i get when processing the batch:

Thanks for bringing this issue to our attention. Can you please send me the original PDF?

Are you on Windows or Mac?

Look forward to your reply.

Hi WAS,

Our side downloaded your image file to have a test.

We did not perform OCR on the PDF file creating from the image file. Instead, we mark the area manually for data extraction. As a result, we get the good output file instead of a blank file.

Hope this helps.

Heidi,

That did fix it.  Thank you.  However, I get all my manual fields to properly output to csv except for the 7 big numbers at the top right.  I tried changing the size of the field to see if that would help.  It comes out as things like "j j", "3 J t r c- I* ", etc.  On the home tab when i output straight to excel, it properly outputs the 7 numbers correctly so i know the software can properly read it.  Any suggestions on how to make the 7 numbers process correctly in my data extraction?

Thank you

Hi WAS,

What affects the data extraction from the scanned document is the original file quality, the OCR language matching with the file language for the OCR recognition.

I am afraid that there is no other tangible ways to prevent the program from modifying certain sections of a PDF document in its recognition OCR.

Thanks for your understanding.
