Add digital timestamps to digital signatures

Question

For digital signatures to get qualified - means is legally equal to normal signatures - they need to be signed with a timestamp.

pdfElement currently does not support the use of digital timestamps with digital signatures. Other tools like Adobe Acrobat or Nuance PowerPDF do support the use of digital timestamps.

Please add this functionality so we can use PDFElement for legal qualified digital signatures.

Hi Tom,

If you want to place a digital signature that refers to the encryption / decryption technology that uses an encrypted digital certificate to autenticate the identity of the signature associated on the document. It can be done by PDFelement 6 Professional.

If you want to place the electronic signature that  is legal and as enforceable as hand-written ones on a paper document., I would recommend you to use SignX for signature which may suit your demand. And for your information, it does not require the signers to pay for the service. And most importantly, it provides free account for you to have a try. You can check this website:

Please feel free to share me with your insight.

Best,

Thank you Heidi for this advice. Nevertheless PDFElementPro still should have this feature. Your competition like Adobe Acrobat, Nuance PowerPDF etc do have this feature to legally sign a document with a digital timestamp.

Yes, that is a good combine. We did consider about that.

Just to clarify, the Swiss law requires, that to be equal to a normal signature, a digital signature must have been signed with a digital timestamp. This law went active on 1-1-2017. So that means for Wondershare: Digital signatures that are created in PDFElementPro are currently of no use in Switzerland because they do not have a digital timestamp. Other products do have this feature.
