My clients cant open the PDF files I create

Recommended Posts

Hi there!

I need a little assistance please. I just bought the pdfelement software because it seemed great and a lot cheaper than Adobe Acrobat. Now I have a big issue. Every time I make a pdf file with the software and I send it to my clients or colleages, they get an error when opening them and can't see the files.
They are using adobe acrobat reader to open the files. How can I solve this? 99% of my clients use adobe acrobat reader, this should not be an issue because pdf files are universal correct?

Thanks in advance.

Nicho

PD: I have PDFelement 6 professional

Hi Nicho,

Does this issue occur to one specific file or all PDF files? Can you send me one sample file?

And you are right about that PDF files are universally correct and should be opened by all PDF programs that meets PDF ISO. So for this issue, we might need more information to figure it out.

Thanks for your support in advance.

Hi Heidi,

Ok so I'm attatching 3 things:

(1) A screen shot of what happens when the file is opened with Adobe Acrobat Reader (4 different people have tested it). The error message is in spanish and says: "There is an error in this page, Acrobat may not open it correctly. Contact the person who created the PDF to resolve the issue".

(2) A screen shot of how it should look like. In this case I opened it with pdfelement.

(3) One of the files that presents this issue. As a reference, this is an airline ticket that I downloaded in pdf format from the Airline Company. Then I edited the file with PDFelement. I removed some text and unnecesary pages, then I merged for pages together.

I hope someone can help because otherwise, there is no point on me having this software if no one can read my pdfs. 😞

Best,

Nicho

Just an extra note on this. If you open the pdf file directly from Whatsapp or from Google Chrome, it does work perfectly. It is only when they open it with Adobe Acrobat desktop software that the problem seems to appear.

Hi Nicho,

My co-worker Bella reported this feedback from support center to our programmers too.

Our development team are analyzing this issue. By the way, we also found that the saved file can be opened by Foxit without any issue.

We will keep you updated when there comes a result.

Best,
