Bug in embedded font data of form fields

Recommended Posts

Hi there!

We received a PDF form which was created by a customer of us and he told us that he used "both version 6 and 7 of" your product PDFElement to add the form fields to the document.

We noticed a strange thing how PDFElement embedded the font program into the PDF. It uses completely out of bound values for the /FontBBox, /Ascent and /Descent entries. So if a program relies on these data (as ours) it will fail to calculate things with these values. Here's an example of ArialMT embedded by PDFElement:

Here's a correct/common dictionary for ArialMT:

It would be great if you can fix this ;-)

Thanks!
Jan
